My First Film

My first film ever was edited in-camera on a JVC Super-VHS camcorder for my 3-minute Survivor audition tape.  And, no, they didn't call back ... but we haven't watched the show since Rob and Amber won.  Yeeech!

Anyways, here is the film, toucans and all!  (It's in compressed Quicktime format for the Internet so the quality isn't great.)

More film stuff....

In class we also had to shoot a 30-second commercial or public service announcement.  Here is the  Quicktime version of my PSA Support the Arts (2MB), again edited with the same crap iMovie and with reduced quality due to compression by QuickTime....

The first semester I took Photoshop CS, photography, history of cinema, history of broadcasting, and digital multimedia, where I got to play with Macs (as opposed to PCs) and iMovie.  Pretty basic, I guess, but it was a lot of fun!

Below is one of my projects, a 1-minute "self-portrait."  We had to take 6 photos and then mess with them in iMovie.  Dig those Ken Burns effects! :-o

I used the instrumental guitar solo Rain from our first CD for the soundtrack.

iMovie still-photo project!

Oh, yeah, it's in QuickTime format also.
